Video City Productions began as a neighborhood video rental store that opened in 1982. Founder Joseph Sherman, a professional violinist by trade, began the business in a small 600 foot space on 20th and Delancey. Back then it was just called Video City, they kept rental records on paper, and people still weren't sure whether they should buy Beta or VHS…

In only a few short years, Video City expanded to include more space, more inventory, and more services. The "mom and pop" video store began offering 8mm film transfer, video tape copies, photo montage videos, and even some on-location videography.

Today Video City Productions is a full service production studio providing some of the highest quality transfer, duplications, and videography services in the Philadelphia area. VCP provides film transfer, video tape transfer, photo and slide transfer, and even audio transfer services to the latest digital formats. VCP has had the privilege of working with corporate clients like Wharton of UPENN, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, The Friendship Circle and Philabundance; that's not to mention all the wonderful couples who have trusted VCP with the task of capturing the most important day in their lives…their wedding day.
